57% abv Navy Strength
Grain-to-Glass Canterbury Grain Base
Nine Botanicals
--

This is a Contemporary 'Navy Strength' Gin at 57% abv. Whether you want to sip it straight or mix it, this gin will stand up.

It packs natural sweetness with herbal, earthy flavours for a really diverse drink!

We've made this in the spirit of a small passage between the mainland and Cooper Island in Fiordland National Park. This small passage has laid way for many travellers and has seen moose sightings in the past.

Tasting notes, from our friends at the Guide to New Zealand Gin:

Complex fruits, sweet citrus on the nose with lots of pepper, citrus, bitter hops and tart fruit on the palate. Horopito heat with hints of coriander and juniper to finish.

Cloudy G&T
Why Cloudy? We've packed Nine Fathoms Gin with 9 botanicals and with more grams/litre than most distilleries would. After it's distilled we also don't chill filter it to maintain the flavour and mouth-feel.
When mixing Nine Fathoms, you'll notice it may go cloudy or hazy and that is totally normal! What is happening is that the oils from the botanicals are interacting with the mix and being separated, which means they become visible. It's a bit like drinking cloudy apple juice - the cloudier the better!
Non-chill filtered = more flavours and better texture!
