Introducing our biggest barrel of whisky to date! Lake Maree is a very lightly peated single malt whisky. Made entirely from Canterbury grain and crafted entirely here in Christchurch. This is true Canterbury Whisky! 

Grain bill:

33% Peat Smoked Malted Barley & 66% Unsmoked Malted Barley

This whisky is not immediately smoky. The smoke is hidden under a lot of layers but every so often it peeks through to remind you that it's there. 

Barrels:

1. 200L ex Bourbon American oak
2. 100L ex Corn Whisky & coffee beans, American oak
3. 25L New, American oak
4. 25L ex Maple Syrup & Corn Whisky, American oak

The ageing began in the 200L cask, and then the batch was split into smaller casks for finishing.
